You start in style at the centuries-old Norbertine abbey of Averbode. Surrounding the abbey are vast forests mixed with ponds, marshes, heathlands, and grasslands. Inn Den Eik, with the Clompenmuseum and the clog experience path, provides a cozy intermission on your walk.
