A bike route with flat paths and some challenging climbs through the Hoge Kempen National Park. You start at the Cosmodrome in the Genk Kattevennen. You immediately cycle into the National Park with pine forests as your backdrop. These seamlessly transition into the heath areas of the Mechelse Heide. Cycling through the heath between junction 550 and 551 gives you the best of the National Park on a silver platter. In Pietersheim, you pass the castle and the medieval water fortress. Along the towing path of the Zuid-Willemsvaart, you head towards the center of Lanaken. Then you dive back into the forests, this time those of Zutendaal.
