Route Oost includes the sub-parishes of Kruiskerke and Maria-Aalter. This side of our municipality (and Aalter) is characterized by forested areas. The flat route of 9.6km takes you through avenues in Parochieveldbos, the Vorte forests, Bruwaanbos, and Hooggoedbos. Start and finish point: Kruiskerkestraat 10, 8755 Ruiselede. You can connect to the Sint-Jan route via Planterijstraat.

The Skeeler Network Midwest spreads out over the municipalities of Ardooie, Hooglede, Ingelmunster, Izegem, Ledegem, Lichtervelde, Meulebeke, Moorslede, Oostrozebeke, Pittem, Roeselare, Ruiselede, Staden, Tielt, Wielsbeke, and Wingene with a total distance of approximately 450km. You can skate kilometers through a varied rural and urban landscape. In addition to the beautiful views, there are also nice resting spots. You will discover the highlights of the 16 municipalities in three tourist regions: the Leie region, the Bruges outskirts, and the Westhoek. Both recreational and advanced skaters will find what they are looking for. Runners, hikers, cyclists, etc. can also enjoy this unique network within the Midwest region!
