If you follow the water from Mechelen, you arrive at the confluence of three rivers where the Zenne, Leuven-Dijle Canal, and the Dijle merge. There you will find a valley landscape that stretches out beneath Den Battelaer. This walk takes you to this old flood area. Although the bustling Mechelen is nearby, each step brings you a little further away from the inhabited world.
