The Charles Quint Route guides you through the three parishes of Olen and several neighboring municipalities. Olen and Charles Quint are inseparable. The legend of the pot of Olen took care of that. An Olen innkeeper successively presented the emperor with a pitcher of beer with one, two and three ears. The three-pot fountain on Olen's Market Square illustrates this immortal story. If you find the basic route too long, you have the option of cycling the 34 km northern loop or the 25 km southern loop. After your trip you can sample a regional beer, just like Emperor Charles five centuries ago, in one of the atmospheric pubs.
