This varied, previously flat route takes you through the vast forests, lakes, tinkling mills, and land dunes of the Dunes Belt. You cycle past the centuries-old Dorpermolen and through Bergerven, an extensive nature reserve with gravel ponds and typical fauna and flora. It is mainly the large grazers that steal the show here. Konik horses and Scottish Highland cattle provide the grazing. Between junctions 37 and 38, deviate briefly from the bike path and climb Oudsberg on foot, the highest land dune in Flanders, for the best view of the day.
