Description by the author

This West route of De Hartstocht goes along the most beautiful cycle paths through Ghent, Lievegem, Landegem and Drongen.

You will come across stories by Lucie Plasschaert, Jean-Paul Van Bendeghem, Alexia Leysen and Yahya Terryn, about the concept of 'node'.

The cycling routes are suitable for every individual, from young to old. The brochure with nodes can be downloaded under this description.

Read the bios of the actors here.

Yahya terryn is a film director and theatre maker. He was involved in and artistic director of the GOAT/KIP for a long time and made award-winning performances such as U dikke ma, Chicks for money and nothing for free, Qui a peur de Regina Louf and Becky Shaw. His short film Pathetics, with Koen De Graeve and Tom Vermeir, was awarded as best Flemish short film at Leuven Kort (2018).

At Compagnie Cecilia he made Locke and A Lola, which will soon have its postponed, well-deserved premiere.

Lucie Plasschaert is a final-year drama student at KASK / School of Arts Ghent. Her master's thesis Scenes from a Marriage (with Joeri Happel) was very well received and was selected for Love at First Sight. Together with Patricia Kargbo, Iris Donders and Gina Beuk, she has founded a provisionally unnamed collective.

At Compagnie Cecilia she plays in A Lola by Yahya terryn.

Alexia Leysen is a theatre maker, photographer and campaign manager of Dagen Zonder Vlees. Under (the platform) BRUT she enters into various artistic collaborations. Together with Greet Jacobs and Julie Delrue she made the family show Mieren Slapen Nooit. Her photo column DE ZIN is currently running in De Standaard Magazine.

At Compagnie Cecilia she will soon present the performance KNAUS (with Valentijn Dhaenens), in combination with a mini-exhibition of her photo work for THE KNAUSGARD /HASSELBLAD SERIES.

Jean Paul Van Bendegem is a mathematician, philosopher and emeritus professor of logic and philosophy of science. He has written several books, is a founding member of SKEPP and regularly performs in halls and TV programs.
