This walk takes you through Schepdaal and Lennik and is a combination of beautiful vistas with quiet sunken roads and green meadow landscapes. It starts at the watermill of Sint-Gertrudis-Pede, where grain has been milled since the 14th century, and explores the upper reaches of the Pedebeek. The local roads and paths are an oasis of peace. In the village center of Schepdaal, you descend through a picturesque nature reserve and do not realize that the busy Ninoofsesteenweg is just a stone's throw away. Over the Varenbergbeek and the Molenbeek, you once again reach the mill on the Pedebeek. You walk past the retention ponds that ensure the mill can still operate during dry summers.
