Did you know that many comics take place in Walloon Brabant and that many famous comic artists live/lived here? Tintin, The Cat, Yoko Tsuno are just a few characters that originated here. This 32 km bike ride, starting in the heart of Limal at Place Albert 1er, will take you past about twenty locations linked to the comic. At that Place stands a statue of Dommel, whose spiritual father Dipa lived there. Next stop? Céroux-Mousty, where Hergé, the spiritual father of Tintin, stayed for decades. The capital of Walloon Brabant, Wavre, is the city of Roger Leloup, the creator of Yoko Tsuno, who is honored in the city center with a large mural. Be sure to visit the Musée Hergé in Louvain-la-Neuve and admire the numerous murals in the new part of town. Who knows, you might run into Gaston (Guust Flater), Largo Winch, or others!
