At the start of this route, at Tourism Westerlo, in the Sint-Lambertusstraat, there are free parking spaces.There is a short, non-signposted approach route from Tourism Westerlo to the first junction of this route.The route consists of quiet cycling paths in nature and agricultural areas.The paths are in excellent condition and consist for the most part of a paved surface.

You start at Tourism Westerlo, Sint-Lambertusstraat 4, WesterloCycle in Sint-Lambertusstraat in the direction of the church and take the first street on the right, this is the E. J. Van Gansenstraat. At the end of the E .J. Van Gansenstraat, cycle right into the Boerenkrijglaan. From here, follow the signs of the cycling junctions with the numbers.interesting POIs:

The Beeltjens is a forest of avenues in the shape of a star. The first avenues here were created at the beginning of the 18th century by the lord of the castle of Westerlo, Jan Philips Eugeen de Merode. At the central place, the star, eight lanes converge. The ideal place for a picnic or a stop to stretch your legs.

- Forester's house

At the edge of the Beeltjens stands a youth hostel. This used to be the house of the forester of the noble de Merode family. On the terrace and in the bar it is blissful to enjoy a drink. Children of all ages can play and romp around here for hours, and it gets even more fun in the play forest opposite the playground! Here you don't have to stay on the paths, you can build camps, climb trees, make witch soup or sculpt with mud.
