VIEWMASTERS 2021 11 km CYCLING

The success of ViewMasters2018 continues to resonate. Street art colors the city, gives meaning, shapes the public space, and inspires a lively discussion during a city walk. Various recreational services and KASK join forces for this 2nd edition once again. This time, the interventions will take place in the district of Sint-Gillis, where they will be concentrated in the core area between Serbos and Kroondveldlaan. In this way, they form the connection between the already iconic street art work of David Walker (Boonwijk) and that of Christoph Malfliet (Kroonveldlaan).
In addition to 40 interventions on utility boxes, about 5 murals are planned and a hypecourt (=artwork painted on a basketball court) in the William Bruyninckxpark at the station. Such hypecourts are rare in Belgium… The realization of this hypecourt is scheduled for the fall of 2021.
The artworks will be on display from July 14.
In the lead-up to that, you can see the artists at work. 20 utility boxes will be decorated by local talent that participated in a street art workshop.
