The outward journey takes you along a very hilly route through a series of Walloon villages with a steep climb to the village of Vinalmont, which has a beautiful castle.
Afterwards, there is a steep descent towards the Meuse, with a steep little climb at Anheit as a variation.
The return trip runs mostly along the slightly rising Ravel from Huccorgne until just before Hannuit, and from there it is a continuous descent to Tienen.
The return trip is noticeably easier to cycle than the outward journey, yet in total, 823 meters of elevation need to be conquered.
However, to get out of the valley of the Meuse, there is a super steep climb (17%) to overcome to the place called Bas-Oha.
In any case, for the ride to Huy, 887 meters of elevation need to be conquered, for which good cycling fitness is required.
For more information regarding the hilliness of this bike ride, please take a look at the elevation graph added as an image with all the details.
