Description by the author

Watou - Along the Skreve and the Yser to Fintele and the Hop Country with its famous beers Van West-Vleteren and Sint-Bernardus.

We start in the art village of Watou and follow back roads to find the Yser River, all the way to romantic Fintele.

Time for a stopover or continue to some typical polder villages to arrive at the Sixtus Abbey in West-Vleteren, where the world-famous 12° can be tasted and purchased (shop).

Continue past hop fields to the Sint-Bernardus brewery with its rooftop "Bar Bernard", Au Nouveau St-Eloi , and Café de Helleketel, known for its Picon.
