The name of this walk refers to Louis de Robiano, also known as the Robiano de Borsbeek. In the 18th century, he was a well-known politician in the municipality. The starting point is therefore in the Robianostraat at the town hall of Borsbeek. The starting point of the walk is in the city, but this quickly changes to a rural area. In the Robianostraat, you will find a small dirt road that takes us through a thicket to the Provincial Floodplain Koude Beek. The hustle and bustle is completely gone. We walk through this park, and when we reach 1 km, we continue through another park, the Floodplain Fortloop. This area has earned its name because when we get out here, we are close to Fort 3 of Borsbeek. Once we have visited the fort, we must go back about 10 meters; we find a path between some construction ruins that leads to a staircase that brings us to the top of the fort. When we reach the top, we keep to the right. We continue along narrow paths and hills, sometimes encountering the ramparts of the fort. Just before a wooden gate, we turn right. When our journey is 2 km long, we go through a forest along the outer walls of the fort. The fort ditch also runs alongside these walls. A beautiful piece of cultural heritage. We are 3 km in when we enter the meadows of Domain Nosegoed. We now walk for a while through peaceful dirt paths and meadows. When we reach 5 km, we arrive at the birth forest. Every year, new parents from Borsbeek are invited to plant a tree in honor of their daughter or son. The names and birth dates of all the children are attached to wooden birth markers. When we leave the birth forest, we arrive at the Boardwalk Path, a green area between the birth forest and Schanslaan. We continue and after 5.5 km pass the water tower of Borsbeek. We come back into the center of Borsbeek from the other side of the Floodplain Koude Beek. Our walk ends back at the town hall of Borsbeek.
