Nature bike ride from St. Antonius to Colonie 7 - Merksplas

You can park your car here in a large free parking lot of the Sports Hall, next to Beuk & Noot school.

In Vlimmeren, there is also a farm at Vlimmersendijk 60 that sells fruit, vegetables, soups, yogurt, and fruit juices through a vending machine: T Gijsbemdenhof. You can also sit outside at a picnic table with your purchased items.

If you are coming from Vlimmeren, there is an ice cream shop Dikkies Cremke located right after the N-road between Oost-Malle and Beerse (on Klampovenstraat).

On the way back, just after Merksplas, you can stop for a drink just before the end near the Trappist Abbey in Westmalle at Café Trappisten. So when you are at the abbey, you need to deviate a bit from the route and drive to the main road. Be careful when crossing and use the crosswalk!

This is a route for recreational cycling, as much as possible through nature. Gravel paths were avoided as much as possible, as not everyone finds them practical or pleasant. However, there are a few stretches (fine) gravel of 1-2 kilometers in Zoersel, Merksplas, and Rijkevorsel. This is always part of an official bike path or a cycling junction points route, so it is indeed intended for cyclists.
