From Diksmuide to Nieuwpoort via Frontzate, Koksijde and den Yser.
The 3 waters are the Canal Nieuwpoort-Dunkirk, the North Sea and the Yser.
The Frontzate is a cycle path on the old railway line 74 from Diksmuide to Nieuwpoort, which played an important role in the First World War . He formed the dam that stopped the water, so that the iron plain remained under water .
This route starts at the free parking lot of the iron tower. The first part goes straight to Nieuwpoort via the old railway bed of Frontzate. At the Nieuwpoort-Dunkirk canal it goes left via the canal , past the old air force base from Koksijde to Koksijde.
Via Oostduinkerke we reach Nieuwpoort. After a terrace at the fish market, it continues to the goose leg from where we follow the Yser along the Trench of Death to back in Diksmuide.
