Depart from 'T Jass (Fire Station) N 9 Along Waalborrepark with exceptional trees, Petrus Ascanus Chapel from 1891 and an artistic hop field. The terraces on the market square of Asse look tempting under the watchful eye of the Hopduvel. The bronze statue symbolizes the storm wind that raged over the fields at the end of August and caused damage to the hop vines.
The cultural center of Asse is housed on the protected site of the Old Inn, the former Our Lady Hospital. This walk also takes you past the hop field, which was established in 2010 as an ode and tribute to the glory years of hop cultivation, particularly notable is the artwork by Peter Schoutsen.
