The Hotel Schweizerhof is a 4-star hotel in Flims in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It was built in 1902, opened in 1903, and has 50 guest rooms. For over 100 years it has been owned by the Schmidt family. The Swiss filmmaker Daniel Schmid grew up in the "Schweizerhof".
The history of the "Schweizerhof" is closely linked to the first inn in Flims; the simple "Gasthaus zum Waldhaus", which was run by the widow Maria Schreiber-Joos in the middle of the 19th century. The Geneva illustrator Rodolphe Töpffer visited the inn in 1842 with pupils from his boarding school. Families from Chur often spent their summer holidays with "Mrs. Landschreiberin".
