Sauvabelin Lake is an artificial lake located on the heights of the city of Lausanne in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is listed in the census of historic parks and gardens of Switzerland.
Located in the Sauvabelin woods, at an altitude of 663 m in the municipality of Lausanne in the Sauvabelin district, it measures 150 m long and 100 m wide and is fed by a few springs and, when their flow becomes insufficient, by the water network of the city of Lausanne. It is a place for walks and one of the symbols of nature in the city of Lausanne. The lake, where boats can be rented, is bordered by a restaurant, a zoo, and a large playground. Moreover, the Sauvabelin woods include the Sauvabelin tower, two forest cabins for rent, and the "nature reserve of old oaks."
