The Lausanne Historical Museum is a museum in Switzerland located in the Vaud city of Lausanne that traces its history.
The museum, located in the center of the old town of Lausanne, at the foot of the cathedral, in the building and castle of the former bishopric, was inaugurated on December 27, 1918, at the initiative of the Old Lausanne Commission and in particular Charles Vuillermet. Successively called the Museum of Old Lausanne, the Museum of the Bishopric, the Historical Museum of the Old Bishopric, and the Lausanne Historical Museum in 1989, it became the Lausanne Historical Museum in April 2018 following its latest transformation.
