The Alpina is a renovated hotel with authentic charm, just like the Swiss chalet, and offers 32 spacious rooms. Located in the quiet village of Grimentz in the Valais Alps at the foot of the ski lifts, it provides all the necessary comfort for an unforgettable stay in the heart of the Val d'Anniviers. Additionally, it offers adequate facilities and a closed parking area to safely store your two-wheelers.

The spacious rooms are equipped with a balcony, TV, safe, desk, wardrobe, bathroom/WC, hairdryer, and can accommodate up to 5 people.

To start the day, you can recharge your batteries with a buffet breakfast.

After a lovely day in the mountains or a motorcycle trip on the roads of Anniviers, you can enjoy the wellness area with sauna, hammam, and whirlpool. Access is included in the room price. Treatments and massages can also be arranged upon request for an additional fee.

If you wish to organize more intensive group stays, a seminar room is available that can accommodate up to 24 people, depending on the chosen layout.

A covered underground garage is accessible for free and allows you to park your motorcycle in a protected area. The establishment is also equipped with a ski room, a heated area where helmets, boots, and other motorcycle gear can be dried in the rain during winter.

The restaurant welcomes you for lunch from 12:00 PM and for dinner service from 7:00 PM (reservation recommended). The chef offers bistronomic cuisine, terroir dishes, and prefers fresh products. The diverse menu includes Valais specialties, homemade dishes with Italian flavors, pizzas, and delicious homemade desserts. The bar café is open 7 days a week from 7:30 AM during the high season and offers a wide selection of beverages.

Located at the foot of the Kaiserkrone in the Val d'Anniviers at an altitude of 1572 m, Grimentz is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. A true gem of Valais and a witness to history, the village has several old buildings, some dating back to the twelfth century.

The resort offers a permanent view of powerful nature, where peaks over 4000m create a unique panorama: Bishorn 4'156m, Weisshorn 4'505m, Zinalrothorn 4'221m, Matterhorn 4'477m, Obergabelhorn 4'063m, and Dent Blanche 4'358m.

For sports enthusiasts, the region is a paradise: mountain biking trails (100 km), hiking paths (100 km), downhill slopes (250 km), and cross-country ski trails (33 km) are located in close proximity.

Suggestions for sightseeing

From Grimentz, there are many motorcycle tours to discover the main attractions of the valley. To reach the hotel from the plain, simply take the direction Val d'Anniviers from Sierre, either via Niouc and its famous spider bridge or via Vercorin to reach Grimentz. In any case, you will appreciate the winding and technical mountain road with gradients of up to 10%. You can then enjoy the road and the breathtaking view of the valley. Upon arriving in Grimentz, you can easily reach Moiry in 10 minutes.

Dam & Moiry Glacier

The dam is located in the valley floor of Grimentz at an altitude of 2250 m and can be quickly reached via a road with hairpin turns. Once on site, a breathtaking panorama unfolds with the turquoise water of the lake and the Moiry glacier. In autumn, the landscape changes and takes on shimmering colors. In winter, the road is closed.

The suspension bridge or spider bridge in Niouc

It is one of the highest suspension bridges in Europe and spans the Val d'Anniviers. Adventurous souls can try bungee jumping!
