This hike is the fourth stage of the Tour du Val d'Hérens and offers the most beautiful views of the entire tour. Leave the villages of the Val d'Hérens behind as you make the substantial ascent much of the day. You'll pass through different Val d'Hérens alps known for their raclette cheese production and the Hérens breed of cows. Arrive at the Pas de Lona, which straddles the Val d'Anniviers and the Val d'Hérens, a wonderfully wild area with lakes and wildflowers. Following a brief respite, climb towards the Becs de Bossons hut (2985m).
