Ridge Trail / Kammweg - segment 5

The Hřebenovka trail in the Liberec Region has two routes: the NORTHERN route, which runs through the central part of the Jizera Mountains, and the SOUTHERN route, the original Blue Hřebenovka trail, which runs along the Černostudniční Ridge.

Both the northern and southern branches of the trail begin at the Czech-Polish pedestrian crossing on the bridge over the Jizera River in Orle in the Jizera Mountains and end at the border with the Ústí nad Labem Region.

Northern Route

The Northern Route continues through the summit areas of the Jizera Mountains, passing through Smědava, Sněžné věžičky, Ptačí kupy, and Poledník. Around Oldřichov v Hájích, the route continues to Albrechtice u Frýdlantu, Václavice, and Hrádek nad Nisou. In Hartau, it crosses the state border and, on German territory, continues along Lake Olbersdorfer See and the Mandau River to Oybin, to the summit of Hochwald (Hvozd), through which the Czech-German state border runs, and on to Jonsdorf. The route returns to the Czech side at the Dolní Podluží/Waltersdorf border crossing and ends in Nová Huť on the border with the Ústí nad Labem Region.

Southern Route

The southern route leads from Jizerka through Desná, Tanvald, and the Černostudniční Ridge to Milíře, and continues over the Ještěd Ridge to Ještěd. The hiking trail then takes visitors to Petrovice and ends at the Czech-German border near Lückendorf.
