The Kreidacher Höhe is located near Wald-Michelbach. The chalet-style hotel is one of the few accommodations in the area to feature both an indoor and outdoor pool. We are not the only ones to appreciate that in June, the Audi Le Mans team was present to discuss the victory. When we move into the rooms, a view of the rolling hills is our portion. Down in the valley, we hear cars and motorcycles enjoying the winding roads in the evening. Test drivers from neighboring factories Mercedes, Audi, and Opel regularly take action here, we are told by the chef. The restaurant has an excellent menu and in the wine department, there is a lovely regional product to taste. We are pleasantly surprised by the dry Heppenheimer, a 2005 Grauburgunder Spätlese. All this beauty is served by a knowledgeable staff, who serve with style without falling into rigid behavior.
