Lägerdorf is a predominantly industrial municipality in the Steinburg district of Schleswig-Holstein. Since April 1, 2003, it has belonged to the Breitenburg office. The town is dominated by the cement factory, which is visible from afar in the flat surrounding area.
Lägerdorf is located about five kilometers southeast of Itzehoe on the A23 motorway from Hamburg to Itzehoe.
There is also a railway line referred to as the "Kreidebahn" between Lägerdorf and Itzehoe, which is used solely for freight transport.
The immediate surroundings of the town are characterized by the cement industry in the form of chalk pits.
