Roskow

The municipality of Roskow covers an area of about 39 square kilometers and is located between the Beetzsee in the north and the Havel in the south in the Havelland region. The regional center of Brandenburg an der Havel is located immediately west of the municipality, with the state capital Potsdam approximately 20 to 25 kilometers to the east. The city limits of Berlin are also 25 kilometers away. Roskow belongs to the Berlin/Brandenburg metropolitan region. The highest point of the municipality is about 35 meters near the municipal border to Beetzseeheide. In contrast, the Beetzsee shoreline only has an elevation of about 29 meters.
In a clockwise direction, the following towns and municipalities border Roskow: to the southwest are the places Saaringen and Klein Kreutz, which belong to the independent city of Brandenburg an der Havel, to the west is Mötzow, which is part of Beetzseeheide. The Beetzsee in the northwest also belongs entirely to the city of Brandenburg. The villages Beetzseeheide and Ketzür, located on the opposite shore of the lake, are districts of Beetzseeheide. To the north, Roskow borders Päwesin, and to the east, the town of Ketzin/Havel with the district of Gutenpaaren. To the south, across from the municipality's shore of the Havel, lies Groß Kreutz with Götz and Deetz.
