Holenberg is a municipality in the district of Holzminden in Lower Saxony and belongs to the collective municipality of Bevern.
Holenberg is a place on the southern slope of the Voglers. Immediately west of the village springs the Krümmecke, to the north of the village is the Mollerbach, which passes the village to the east. Both bodies of water flow into the Forstbach. Holenberg is surrounded by mountains of the Voglers on three sides, which belong to the municipality, with the terrain sloping down to the Forstbachtal in the south. In the west rises the 302.4 m (992 ft) high Weinberg, which is designated as a nature reserve, in the northwest is the Himbeerbrink, in the north the Bax-Berg as a foothill of the Kohlhai, which at 440.8 m (1,447 ft) is the highest elevation of the municipality, in the northeast is the Tollburg, which is also a mountain spur of the Kohlhai, and in the east is the Bützeberg.
