Bruchhausen is a local municipality in the Neuwied district in Rhineland-Palatinate. The municipality belongs to the collective municipality of Unkel, which has its administrative seat in the town of Unkel.
The village is located on a spacious terrace, a loess-covered ridge – naturally part of the Linz terrace of the Middle Rhine Bay – on the edge of the Rhein-Westerwald Nature Park above the Rhine Valley with views of the High Eifel and the Seven Mountains. At the southwestern end of this plateau lies the village of Orsberg, which belongs to the local community of Erpel, 1.5 km away. The valley of the Hähnerbach, which originates in the district, leads from Bruchhausen down to Unkel, overcoming a height difference of over 120 m. Bruchhausen includes the residential area of Haus Sankt Marienberg.
