The municipal area of Vollerwiek is located in the southwest of the Eiderstedt peninsula. It is directly adjacent to the tidal flats outside the dike along the Purrenstrom in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea. The lands belonging to the municipality are formed by the southwesternmost area of the historically smaller Eiderstedt peninsula, the Mühlenkoog and Alten Westerkoog.
