The wine and castle town evokes a southern atmosphere with its picturesque alleys.
Old Castle: in the castle from the 7th century with the mighty Dagobert Tower are the living quarters and the death chamber of the poetess Annette von Droste-Hulshoff (1797-1848).
New Castle: the baroque castle was the residence of the prince-bishops of Constance (1750). Notable decorations by J.A. Feuchtmayer. Nowadays the Dornier Museum.
Furstenhausle: the building from the 16th century now houses the Droste Museum.
