The municipality of Heinsen is a municipality in the district of Holzminden in Lower Saxony. It belongs to the collective municipality of Bodenwerder-Polle.
Heinsen is located on the Upper Weser in the Weserbergland. From the Stollenberg, which is part of the local area, several bends of the Weser can be seen. Other smaller elevations in the surrounding area include Waul, Wilmeröder Berg, Hopfenberg, and Bruchholz. Not far away is the Köterberg, which is visible from the Stollenberg.
