The district of Müngersdorf is located in the west of the city of Cologne in the Lindenthal district. The district is nationally known due to the RheinEnergieStadion, the home ground of 1. FC Köln. Additionally, the German Sport University Cologne and the cable network operator Unitymedia are based in the district. Due to its location in the outer Cologne green belt, the area is considered one of the preferred residential neighborhoods of the city.
