Detmerode is a district of Wolfsburg in Lower Saxony that developed in the 1960s. It belongs to the so-called "core city" of Wolfsburg.
The district of Detmerode, located southwest of the city center, is one of the newer districts of Wolfsburg, along with the neighboring district of Westhagen and the district of Teichbreite, which is particularly characterized by high-rise housing developments from the 1960s. Unlike in Westhagen, there are also bungalow settlements here.
