Hamaland Museum was the name of a regional and folklore museum in Vreden in the Münsterland region. The name referred to Hamaland, an old district near Vreden.
The original museum was set up in 1926 as a "Heimatstube" and expanded into the Hamaland Museum in 1938 at the current location of the kult. In the 1970s and 1990s, the museum was expanded in two stages. The last expansion took place from 2015, with the reopening in 2017 under a new name and concept. Parts of the museum's collection have been included in the permanent exhibition of the kult, other parts have been stored or are exhibited in the cult in the Schaudepot.
