Wehingen is a municipality in the northern part of the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg and belongs to the natural region of Hohe Schwabenalb on the Swabian Jura. Together with the neighboring town of Gosheim, Wehingen serves as a sub-center in the northern Tuttlingen district.
Wehingen is located on the Großer Heuberg, the largest part of the Hohe Schwabenalb. In this area, the Swabian Jura reaches its highest elevations. The location of the town is characterized by the confluence of the western arm of the Bära River, known as the Lower Bära, and the Mühlbach, which is why the town is situated in a high basin. Wehingen, together with Gosheim, is considered a sub-center on the Heuberg. Rottweil is 12 km to the west, and the district town of Tuttlingen is 18 km to the south of Wehingen.
