Petersberg is a village and a former municipality in the district Saalekreis, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It has 685 inhabitants. The place is named after the mountain of the same name. Although at 250m not particularly high by German standards, the mountain is a clear landmark and visible from all sides up to tens of kilometers away.
The European hiking trail E11 runs right through Petersberg. The E11 runs from The Hague to the east, currently to the Poland/Lithuania border. The E11 is not marked on site.
