For the Breitenberg Church, consecrated on August 7, 1768, Georg Philipp Telemann composed the music. The manuscript is still preserved in the church today.
Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the Breitenberg voters' association has held six seats since the local elections in 2018. The future of Breitenberg has three seats.
