The Paffelsberg is a mountain that slopes northward from the Siebengebirge into the Ennert. It is located east of the Bonn district of Oberkassel on the right bank of the Rhine, close to the city border with Königswinter. With a height of 195.3 m above sea level, the Paffelsberg is the highest elevation in Bonn.
To the west, the elevations Rabenlay and Kuckstein are adjacent, to the southeast is the Juffernberg, and to the south is the Dollendorfer Hardt, which dominates the northern part of the Siebengebirge. The Paffelsberg is forested like the surrounding heights and is protected by nature conservation laws. It is only a gently pronounced elevation and transitions to open land to the north and east, with the area "Auf den Dreizehn Morgen" to the north and the village of Vinxel, which belongs to Königswinter, to the east.
