The Güldenberg Circular Wall is an Iron Age fortification located in the Altenrath district of Troisdorf.
Remnants of the Güldenberg earth walls are still present on the eastern edge of the Wahner Heide, about 2500 m south of Altenrath and 1200 m southwest of Lohmar. Here, the most suitable point for the complex was chosen, namely the top of the hill. To the east, the land slopes steeply and is closed to the south by a siefen. To the west and north, the terrain merges into the Heideterrasse plateau. Therefore, there is a front wall with a moat here. Behind him, the ring wall is the most developed, up to four meters high; A wide ditch has been submitted. Here you can see the gate with a dirt bridge over the moat. In front of the steep slope, the wall and the ditch gradually become exhausted. This contains a horseshoe-shaped room measuring about 170 x 180 m.
