The Lenzer Wische is a sparsely populated wetland in the northwest of Brandenburg. It includes the municipality of Lenzerwische and the part of the town of Lenzen located south of the Löcknitz.
It is situated in the Biosphere Reserve River Landscape Elbe - Brandenburg between the rivers Löcknitz and Elbe. In its course towards the northwest, both rivers approach each other at about 500 meters near the southeastern city limits of Lenzen, but the Elbe then takes a southern bend towards Gorleben. It was not until south of Dömitz that the Löcknitz flowed into the Elbe until 1973. During floods, the river regularly overflowed its tributary into the meadows and pastures of the wet lowland. The historical mounds of farmhouses still remind us today of the floods.
