The Mehde-Aue is a left tributary of the Oste in the district of Rotenburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It flows through the town of Zeven and is called Aue above the town centre, and Mehde below.
The headwaters are located about 1 km east of Hesedorf, near the road to Abbendorf. The Mehde floodplain is a total of 20.3 km long and covers a catchment area of 97.91 km². The Mehde floodplain has several tributaries, the Abbendorf Canal flows into the water near Hesedorf, the Buschhorstbach near Gyhum. The next tributaries are the Osenhorster Bach with the mouth between Gyhum and Wehldorf and the Rhalandsbach, which flows into Zeven. The Mehde floodplain has a straightened course up to Zeven and is to be classified as unnatural. In Zeven, it is built over within the city center, then flows through the city park and forest. From Zeven, the further course can be seen as close to nature.
