The Lech lock 22 – Unterbergen is a lock on the Lech between Landsberg and Augsburg, located at the height of the village of Unterbergen, which belongs to the municipality of Schmiechen, as well as within the eponymous district of Unterbergen in the municipality of Schmiechen. The operator of the run-of-river power plant is Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH, with a generated power of 12.4 MW. The construction of the power plant was carried out on behalf of Bayerische Wasserkraft AG and lasted from 1980 to 1982. The Lochbach restaurant, which was previously located at this site, had to be closed. Next to the Lech lock is the Lochbach intake, which supplies the Lochbach with Lech water.
In contrast to the further northern lock 23, the reservoir at Unterbergen has no kiosk and only a few swimming possibilities.
