Castle Lemiers is located in the village of the same name, Lemiers, which is now part of the Dutch Limburg municipality of Vaals. The castle comprises a manor house and a castle farm. It is built at the point where the Hermansbeek flows into the Selzerbeek and it also had a watermill named Kasteelmolen. The oldest part of the house is a square water fortress with a staircase tower, both from the 15th century and built on the foundations of a predecessor from the 12th century, of which the cellars and the barrel vaults have survived. In 1640, the castle was expanded to the south with three narrow wings around a small courtyard. The southernmost wing features an open arcade on Tuscan columns. The L-shaped lower courtyard dates back to 1677, as evidenced by the existing year anchors. The gate with passage is from 1683. The southern part of the farm, with the round corner tower, was added in 1774 as indicated by a weathervane on the tower top. In this wing, a watermill has been set up. From the same period are the entrance gate in Louis XVI style and the arch bridge leading to the house.
