The Münsterhof is a Burgmannshof in Horstmar in the district of Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It has been a listed building since 7 November 1989.
Like all Burgmannshöfe in the town of Horstmar, the Münsterhof is located on the edge of the moat, which unfortunately has almost lost its original character due to the neighbouring buildings. The Burgmannshof is characterized by a two-storey main house and a one-storey outhouse. The property is separated from the street by an old stone wall in the courtyard as well as in the park. The exact date of origin of this building, which derives its charm mainly from the two rows of stone cross windows in the brick masonry, is not known. However, through architectural style comparisons, it can be said with certainty that the building must have been built at the beginning of the second half of the 16th century. The characteristic feature of the building is the gables, which are characterized by their particular steepness, with pedestals placed at corners and so-called pinnacles of sandstone at the bases of the gable triangles. Such gables are typical of late Gothic residential buildings. Similar gables with corner pinnacles and a ridge chimney can be found at the Falkenhof in Rheine, the upper floor of which was built on older building elements in 1545.
Between 1990 and 1995, the annex was completely converted into apartments and a bank branch, while the main building was also completely gutted and rebuilt from 2006 to 2012. It is currently used as a residential building and as a seminar room for the local Volksbank.
