Schloss Liebig, also known as Niederburg, in contrast to the Oberburg Schloss Gondorf, or St. Laurentinus chapel, is located in the town of Gondorf on the Moselle River in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany.
The castle was originally a Celtic, Roman, and Frankish burial site built in the year 1158 by the knight Engelbertus de Contrave, who also lived there. The castle was used from 1879 to 1972 by the Freiherren von Liebig from Reichenberg in Sudetenland.
