The Ehrenstein Castle is a small castle ruin in the district of Ehrenstein in the municipality of Asbach in the Neuwied district, in the northern Westerwald.
The hillside castle is located at an elevation of about 170 meters above sea level and only 25 meters above the riverbed of the Mehrbach, which flows into the Wied a few hundred meters further down, and the adjacent Ehrenstein Monastery. The nearest municipalities along the Wied are Neustadt and Peterslahr.
