The Weser Bridge in Höxter connects the old town of Höxter with Lower Saxony as a city bridge. Since Höxter's founding, a bridge at the same location has played an important role in trade and traffic.
The Weser bridge of Höxter connects the south-eastern city centre with the Brückfeld. From the old town it is part of the Landesstraße 755 , whose branches lead southwards via the Lower Saxony Landesstraße 549/550 to Boffzen and as L 549 to Neuhaus im Solling and as Landesstraße 550 to Fürstenberg . Northwards, the Lower Saxony state road 550 runs east of the Höxteran district of Lüchtringen and to Holzminden. The Altenbeken–Kreiensen railway line, which runs in Höxter between the old town and the Weser, also crosses the L 755 at the Weser bridge near the Höxter–Rathaus stop.
