The Great and White Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Rotenburg and the municipalities of Kirchwalsede and Westerwalsede in the Samtgemeinde Bothel in the district of Rotenburg.
The nature reserve, designated as NSG LÜ 061, covers an area of 654 hectares. The larger part of the area constitutes the 438-hectare FFH area "Great and White Moor," which was designated in 1999. To the north and east, it borders the landscape protection area "Grafeler Holz, Hamerloh, and Lintel." The core area of the nature reserve, which is about 22 hectares around the Kolke, has been protected since September 15, 1953. In 1975, the nature reserve was expanded to approximately 440 hectares, and on January 1, 2009, it was further expanded by about 200 hectares to its current size. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Rotenburg.
