The Kleinziegenfeld quarry is a limestone quarry in the northern part of the Weismain district of Kleinziegenfeld. The quarry was opened in the second half of the 19th century and has been extracting the unique Kleinziegenfeld dolomite with a break in the second half of the 20th century. The quarry is also known as Diroll's quarry, named after its founder, Jakob Diroll.
The quarry was founded by the construction entrepreneur Jakob Diroll in the second half of the 19th century. Twelve years after the death of Jakob Diroll, his sons divided the initially jointly operated business. Hans Diroll took over the construction company along with the building materials trade and lightweight stone factory, while his younger brother Adam continued the quarries, of which the most significant was in Kleinziegenfeld, and the stone workshops.
