The Ruhrsteilhänge Hohensyburg is a nature reserve in the Dortmund district of Syburg and in the Ardey Mountains. It is located at the southern border of Dortmund, north of the Ruhr near Hohensyburg. The nature reserve was first placed under protection in 1990, which was maintained in the first amendment to the landscape plan on September 2, 2005. The nature reserve covers an area of 42.9 hectares in the form of three sub-areas. The sub-areas are separated from each other by the landscape protection area Ardey Wälder. In the adjacent area of Hagen, the nature reserve Ruhraue Syburg directly borders it.
